What is it to be a friend? So many of us only see a friendship from the standpoint of how it affects us. Why is it that we dont look at friendship and wonder if we are being a good friend to our friends? I write about this often. If we are to cross boundaries and borders and languages we must stop viewing everything as it affects us. We must teach ourselves to be more concerned about the other person. Suffering is not mandatory. We can help each other by extending the hand of friendship. No one need suffer in this world if we would truly care about each other and about what our friends/brothers/sisters/loved ones are going through. That doesnt mean that we can always do something about their suffering but it does mean that we can be there for them. A wise man once said that the strong should bear the infirmities of the weak. I try to live this so if you need a friend you have but to send me an email and know that I will always respond. Until then may have all you need, may your loved ones be safe, and may grace and peace attend you at all times.
